10.28.22 – The Republican challenger for Congressional District 3 is familiar with running for congress. Alexis Martinez Johnson took on Teresa Leger Fernandez just two years ago when Senator Ben Ray Lujan left his seat in the House of Representatives. Martinez Johnson was born and raised in New Mexico, spent years in Roswell and graduated from Mayfield high school in Las Cruces. Since, she’s worked as an environmental consultant for Exelon, one of the country’s largest energy providers.
