APD Reforms: One Year Later

October 30, 2015 – It’s been one year since the city of Albuquerque signed an agreement with the Department of Justice that requires reforms in the Albuquerque Police Department. This week on the next New Mexico in Focus, we look back on the past year and talk about what’s next.

Correspondent Gwyneth Doland sits down with Peter Simonson from the ACLU of New Mexico and Shaun Willoughby from the Albuquerque Police Association.

Gwyneth Doland also sits down this week with Joanne Fine and Leonard Waites from the  Police Oversight Board. They talk about what’s happened this year as the new board prepared to hear cases of alleged misconduct.

Following both interviews, host Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss APD reforms and the role of the public in debates over future policies.
