Web Extra: Mandatory Sentencing

An article in the El Defensor Chieftain caught our attention this week. Socorro county doesn’t have enough beds to house everyone sentenced to prison time, so other counties are benefiting financially from housing those inmates. Should this situation cause New Mexico to look again at mandatory sentencing?
