A Constitutional Analysis of the 1947 Roswell Incident
7.10.26 – A group of pre-law undergraduates at the University of New Mexico have examined the infamous 1947 Roswell incident for constitutional violations. Recent graduate Tatiana James and senior Caden Salazar were among those who presented their findings at an online seminar hosted by UNM, along with New Mexico’s state library, the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Museum of Space History. Host Nash Jones spoke with the pair about their work, how the U.S. government handles classified information and when civil liberties can be pushed aside in the name of national security.
