NMiF Will Be Back Next Week
Greetings and pre-holiday salutations, everyone. I’m just here to make sure you don’t tune in for a new episode of New Mexico in Focus this week, only to be greeted by the last installment of Ken Burns’ new docuseries about the Revolutionary War. We’ve been preempted and, to be honest, we’re grateful for a little break — it’s been a long year.
We’ll be back on the air next week with a special guest host and a trip through some of our favorite journalism of the year. (No spoilers.)
Then it’s on to the Albuquerque mayoral runoff election and a few more pieces we’re planning before NMiF goes into a slightly longer hibernation for winter break.

Wanna See the Albuquerque Mayoral Candidates on NMPBS?
Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller and challenger Darren White have refused to come on New Mexico in Focus ahead of the Dec. 9 mayoral runoff election. (White also didn’t come on the show before the general election, though Keller did.)
We’re asking for your help.
If you’d like to see the two candidates for Albuquerque mayor on New Mexico PBS ahead of the runoff, let them know. We’ve made multiple appeals to no avail, so maybe hearing from viewers like you will encourage them to sit down with us on public television — and not just the commercial stations — to make their cases to voters.
