Dolores Huerta On The Civil Rights Movement & Current Organizing Efforts

June 16, 2017 – Civil Rights leader Dolores Huerta was born in Dawson, New Mexico but grew up in California. In the 1960s, she and César Chávez founded the National Farm Workers Association, now the United Farm Workers (UFW). Huerta sat down earlier this year with correspondent Russell Contreras to talk about history, political organizing, and what she sees ahead for young activists across the country.  They also discussed the current political climate in the United States and why she is hopeful for the future.
