The Line: New APS Superintendent Mistakenly Sent Texts to Employee

August 14, 2015 – The new superintendent of Albuquerque Public Schools was in the news this week for text messages that he sent to APS CFO Don Moya. But Dr. Luis Valentino meant to send the messages to New Mexico Education Secretary Hanna Skandera. In the texts, Dr. Luis Valentino says he is “going to go after Don Moya.”

Dr. Valentino later acknowledged to local media that the text messages were from him and  released a statement this week on the APS website.  Don Moya is currently on paid leave.
