This week is the final episode of New Mexico in Focus before the 2014 Mid Term Election. Correspondent Gwyneth Doland continues the series of one-on-one interviews with Senator Tom Udall and Republican challenger Allen Weh.

NMiF host Gene Grant and The Line opinion panel analyze the one-on-one interviews as well as the debate between candidates Udall and Weh, airing this week on KNME and New Mexico public media.

Producer Floyd Vasquez talks campaign ad spending and media coverage with New Mexico journalists, a political science professor and a long-time state legislator.

The Line also marks the rapid approach of Election Day by taking a look at pollsters’ predictions, the impact of negative ads, and the battle between the two major parties over control of New Mexico’s House of Representatives.
