The clock on this year\u2019s 60-day legislative session runs out Saturday at noon in Santa Fe. This week on the show, we take the temperature of key lawmakers from both parties to see what they\u2019re happy about passing and what measures they\u2019re disappointed about falling short. \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s just a piece of the great work from Politics Correspondent Gwyneth Doland and our crew, who gathered six interviews during the busiest time to step foot in the Roundhouse. They also caught up with state Representative Nicole Chavez who let us know she\u2019s disappointed in the failure of a measure that would have made it easier to lock up juvenile offenders. \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gwyneth and our cameras also got some information about the recent arrest and disappearance of 48 people taken by federal immigration agents in New Mexico. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said more than half of those people have been deported, but they haven\u2019t said exactly how many people are still in custody in the U.S. and they haven\u2019t answered questions related to their names. Gwyneth speaks with an immigration attorney and a man who\u2019s been held by ICE before to talk about their push for a bill to change the state’s relationship with federal immigration authorities.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this week\u2019s show, you\u2019ll also hear from the Chair of the House Taxation and Revenue Committee, Derrick Lente, as he explains some of the potential tax credits New Mexicans might see if his tax package passes. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you\u2019ll hear why housing and homeless advocates are especially encouraged by the conversations around some of the measures meant to expand access to affordable housing. \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m beyond grateful for Gwyneth\u2019s work this week and throughout session this year.
