This public outcry was just the latest demonstration of frustration with the inaction of decision makers. The walk-out came on the same day as the release of a widely covered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2019\/05\/06\/720654249\/1-million-animal-and-plant-species-face-extinction-risk-u-n-report-says\">United Nations study<\/a> warning of the potential extinction of one million species, with serious quality of life consequences for this generation as a result. Meanwhile, students also voiced frustration over the Albuquerque Public Schools board\u2019s decision to table\u2014for nearly a year\u2014proposed policy revisions on allowing schools to accept money from the National Rifle Association.
