A graduate of Harvard and Columbia University&#8217;s School of the Arts, Kane is the author of a number of collections of poetry. Her\u00a0lyric poems are rooted in her Arctic homeland. Although she lives in Alaska, she teaches part of the year at the Institute of American Indian Arts, or IAIA, in Santa Fe.
