She was one of the parents listed in a\u00a0<span class=\"x_MsoHyperlink\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/350764429\/MALDEF-Complaint\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">combined lawsuit<\/a><\/span>\u00a0that argued that the state\u2019s public education system is not meeting constitutional requirements to provide equal access to education, particularly for economically disadvantaged students, Native Americans, students with disabilities and English Language learners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Judge Sarah Singleton ruled last week that New Mexico is not adequately funding education.
