But the refuge also hosts all kinds of other wildlife, including raptors, song birds, elk, deer, javelina, bobcats and mountain lions. <\/p>\n<p>Supporting all that wildlife, as well as the thousands of visitors who come to the refuge each year, means staffers and volunteers have their work cut out for them throughout the year. As refuge manager Kevin Cobble helped us understand, there are crops to grow and water to move around.
