According to the National Center for Homeless Education, more than ten thousand students in New Mexico experienced homelessness during the 2014-2015 school year. <i>NMiF<\/i> Producer Sarah Gustavus sits down with local advocates to discuss the challenges students face when they don&#8217;t know where they are going to sleep at night.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\">Correspondent Russell Contreras sat down last week with civil rights leader and New Mexico native Dolores Huerta, who co-founded what is now the United Farm Workers (UFW) along with Cesar Ch\u00e1vez.\u00a0 Huerta talked about the current political climate in the United States, her history of organizing, and why she is hopeful for the future.
