December 24, 2021 –The Line opinion panel continues our yearly countdown of the top stories of the year. Coming in at number 8 is the local impact of Texas’s controversial abortion ban. The panelists discuss the burden that law places on New Mexico providers, as well as the legal ramifications of a potential new showdown over Roe v. Wade. And, coming in at number 7 this year is Deb Haaland’s historic appointment to head up the U.S. Department of the Interior. The panelists talk about her impact so far and how it benefits New Mexicans.
