Reading Tips for Parents
  • Talk to your child.

Use everyday events, like taking a bath, getting dressed, or brushing teeth as a chance to talk with your child. Ask lots of questions, use short sentences and lots of words. This helps your child learn words and build vocabulary.

  • Make time for reading everyday.

Reading at bed time is a good way to not only get your little one sleepy, it can also help them build a love for reading during the day. Show your children that reading is part of your routine, because anytime is learning time.
