Hunger

Many New Mexican families wonder how they are going to put food on their tables and keep their children from going to bed hungry. In this edition of New Mexico PBS’ monthly public affairs program, community members and leadership connect to find solutions to our hunger problems.

Obviously, more skilled people need to get involved, some with known organizational skills, some with large trucks they’re willing to donate for use a couple of extra days of the week on a regular basis, some with marketing skills who know how to keep the message out there that YES, there are many people still in need, not just holiday time. Public announcements on TV and radio – free when possible, low cost when not. Fund raising for refrigeration unit buildings wherever necessary. This is doable.
