The Line: Uncertainty In Higher Ed Without Guaranteed State Funding

April 28, 2017 – This week host Gene Grant and our Line opinion panelists talk about the latest news in the battle over the state budget. Governor Susana Martinez vetoed funding for higher education and the legislature after this year’s 60-day session. A lawsuit filed by lawmakers is scheduled to go before the New Mexico Supreme Court in May. Until then, college students, faculty and administrators are struggling to plan for the next semester without knowing how much funding the state might allocate to higher education.
