The Line: Education Lawsuit Underway In Santa Fe

June 23, 2017 – A trial is currently underway in Santa Fe for a lawsuit that alleges the state has not met its constitutional obligation to provide equal access to education for all students. Two lawsuits filed by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) and the New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty were combined for trial. This week host Gene Grant and our Line opinion panelists discuss the case and what’s next after Public Education Secretary Hanna Skandera leaves at the end of the month.
