The Line: Accountability In School Management

October 13, 2017 – Analee Maestas resigned as a member of the Albuquerque Public Schools Board earlier this week. State Officials are investigating embezzlement charges against her daughter, the former assistant business manager of La Promesa Early Learning Center; Analee Maestas, the school’s founder, was also the executive director at the time. Gene Grant and the Line panelists debate, among other aspects of this story, whether executive directors should be held accountable for alleged criminal activities within the organization they oversee.
