Mark Lautman – The Jobs New Mexico Needs Now

July 31, 2015 – Economic recovery following the Great Recession has been slow in New Mexico. While neighboring states added jobs, New Mexico’s economy has remained mostly stagnant. Can state initiatives turn that trend around?

Mark Lautman is an economic developer, author and founding director of the Community Economics Lab. He also currently assists the Legislative Jobs Council, which met earlier this month to discuss how the state can supports jobs development in the coming years.

NMiF producer Sarah Gustavus sat down with Mark Lautman this week to talk about the latest trends in job development for our state.
