Foreign Exchange Students Build Relationships In New Mexico And Abroad

March 25, 2016 – Producer Sarah Gustavus sits down this week with participants from the AFS foreign exchange program about the value of cross-cultural relationships.

New Mexico resident Kathryn Fleddermann spent a year in Turkey through the YES exchange program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State and sponsored by the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs. Rama Safitri is currently living and studying in Albuquerque and she comes from Indonesia. Kwame Otchere runs the AFS program in Ghana and he recently visited New Mexico to talk about the program.
