Encouraging More Students To Pursue STEM Careers

January 15, 2016 – The U.S. Department of Education projects that jobs in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) are growing but the number of students currently studying in those areas is not keeping pace.

Our correspondent Stan Wilson sits down this week with UNM student Ayse Muniz and Gabriel Montaño from Los Alamos National Laboratory. They talk about the cultural and academic challenges that students may face and what they hope to see in the future.
