New Mexico PBS television station that serves central and northern New Mexico, seeks a dynamic, motivated individual for its TV Producer/Director. This position is primarily responsible for production of New Mexico PBS’ weekly public affairs show New Mexico in Focus.
The candidate selected should have a strong journalistic background, experience in creating original program content for broadcast and internet, and have worked directly with community organizations, state leadership, and the general public.
Preferred qualifications include three to five years of professional experience in producing original public affairs programming for broadcast and the internet. The ability to adapt program content for social media uses; in-depth knowledge of New Mexico’s social and political issues; and technical knowledge of professional broadcast technology. Experience with non-linear editing equipment is desirable.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.

New Mexico PBS at the University of New Mexico seeks candidates for a self-motivated Coordinator, Development and Relations with strong organizational and customer service skills for its Development Department.
Under general supervision, provides day-to-day coordination and administrative support of various underwriting (media sales), membership and/or related development (fundraising) activities of the KNME New Mexico PBS Development Department. Provides a range of general administrative and customer service assistance to the unit, and may work with donors, clients and volunteers as appropriate.
Prepares various correspondence and/or other types of contact with donors, clients and/or volunteers. Develops and maintains databases and files related to fundraising campaigns and underwriting sales activity and generates reports from these databases and files as needed. Prepares and tracks paperwork and affidavits associated with on-air underwriting spots. As appropriate, processes contributions and/or accounts receivable; may receive, record, deposit, and track revenue and reconcile accounts. Participates in the preparation of development materials, including writing, editing, and design and coordinates marketing and public relations activities for the department. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

KNME-TV at the University of New Mexico seeks candidates for a TV Producer/Director On Call pool. The successful applicant must have the ability to create and manage all elements for a short video production, including editing and final documentation, with minimal supervision. Must be able to assemble, schedule, manage and direct a production crew as needed for each individual project. Candidates should have competency in script writing and analysis and project management for Industrial, Professional and Corporate Video. Must have the ability to work independently and produce a rough-cut project for final finishing. This position is not benefits eligible.
